  1.               HOW TO CREATE AND DELETE OUTLINE ELEMENTS

  4.  A. To create a new outline element below and on the same level as the
  5.     current element, CHOOSE CREATE NEW OUTLINE ENTRY FROM THE OUTLINE
  6.     MENU.  Remember there are a number of ways to make this choice.  You
  7.     can press "/OC" or INS, right arrow, C, or just press Ctrl-N.

  9.  B. Immediately after creating a new outline element and before you type
  10.     any other keys, the outline number will show in reverse video and you
  11.     can MOVE THAT OUTLINE ELEMENT WITH THE ARROW KEYS.  Try it.  Create a
  12.     new outline element and then press the arrow keys to move it to a new
  13.     level.  Note how the outline elements are always automatically
  14.     renumbered as you move the newly created element around.

  16.     1. Press the RIGHT ARROW key and it will become a child (sub-entry) of
  17.        the element above it.
  18.     2. Press the LEFT ARROW and it will again go back to the level where you
  19.        created it.
  20.     3. Press the DOWN ARROW and it will switch places with the element below
  21.        it.
  22.     4. Press the UP ARROW and it will switch places with the element above
  23.        it.

  25.  C. To delete an outline element, position the cursor in the element to
  26.     delete and CHOOSE DELETE OUTLINE ENTRIES FROM THE OUTLINE MENU.
  27.     Remember there are a number of ways to make this choice.  You can
  28.     press "/OD" or INS, right arrow, D, or just press Ctrl-D.  You must
  29.     confirm this function by pressing return.  Try deleting the children
  30.     of this element.

  33.     2. Delete this element too.
  34.     3. Delete this element also.
